If your Marriage Capsizes
Collaborative divorce is a constructive alternative to court proceedings. It is all about problem solving and settling the issues that arise when relationships end. It is a type of alternate dispute resolution in which the parties and their lawyers commit to work together in a collaborative manner to reach a settlement. The lawyers work as a team. It is respectful. There are no winners or losers; the goal is win/win.
No matter how broken or damaged the situation, a positive outcome can be reached where you develop creative solutions to realize your goals.

Why Sheila Keet?
Prior to law school I was a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. I was the Director of a crisis centre, Executive
Director of the Northwest Territories Mental Health Association, worked
for the NWT Native Women’s Association and as the Director of the NWT
Status of Women. Throughout I have had a strong and active involvement
with my community, and been a member of many boards and committees
and an advocate for matters I feel strongly about.
I changed careers, graduated from law school in 1988 and have practised
exclusively as a family law lawyer since 1990 - in Richmond since 1993.
Collaborative Law is an exciting new advancement in family law and the win/win approach is rewarding. It is constructive, not destructive.
I look forward to helping you to explore a wide range of available solutions. |
